Professor Gideon Adamu Shallangwa is a distinguished Nigerian academic and researcher specializing in Physical Chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he began his academic career in 1999 and rose to the rank of Professor in 2021. His research interests include computational chemistry, molecular modelling, reaction kinetics, drug discovery, herbicide and pesticide modelling, and metal-organic framework synthesis and applications.
Professor Shallangwa has published extensively in reputable peer-reviewed journals and has supervised numerous Master’s and Ph.D. students. His scholarly contributions are recognized through profiles on leading academic platforms, including Google Scholar, Scopus, ORCID, Web of Science, and ResearchGate. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at several Nigerian universities, including ABU Zaria, Kaduna State University, Sule Lamido University, and Federal University Lokoja. He currently serves as Professor of Chemistry and the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Science at the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FUAMB), where he provides academic leadership and supports institutional development. Professor Shallangwa is also an active member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria, and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, as well as NUC accreditation and academic resource verification exercises.
